Are you suffering from health information overload?
Everywhere you look, someone wants to give you advice on nutrition, exercise, mental health and the list goes on. Everyone except your health-care provider that is. They don’t have time (about 7 minutes per patient) to delve into the “why you feel bad” or alternatives to medications. They treat your symptoms, not the root cause.
Who do you trust?
What is their background?
Health coach and health coach certification, as keywords, get 1,000 to 10,000 searches monthly per Google Adwords.
I am a Family Nurse Practitioner, with a clinical doctorate. I have over 40 years of conventional medical background. I am also a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist and a Nurse Coach. As you see I am well entrenched in both the conventional and alternative/complementary areas of medicine.
As a Nurse Coach, my goals are yours. My agenda is yours.
To provide a venue for individuals/groups to reach their health and wellness goals in a way that is unique to them in a non-judgmental environment through education, personalization, and support.
I think a mentor is a more appropriate title than a coach.
Coaching makes me think of someone who is telling me what I do wrong and how to correct it.
Who wants to be reprimanded? Not me.
Mentoring is helping people take the knowledge they have and assisting them to put it to use.
That’s not to say that new information isn’t shared.
Coaching is based on your agenda, goals, and readiness to change. How you make the changes are based on your ability to make the change.
There may be an affiliate link or two which means if I review a book and a link to it, I may make a few pennies (and I do mean pennies) from Amazon.
I may also link to my aromatherapy site.
My goal is to share with you what I believe to be accurate information.
Feel free to comment and ask questions.
I work locally or virtually. The only requirement is English speaking.
